= 40 people come to picket “Shame to Rosgvardia!” in Rostov-on-Don =
A picket in defence of those detained during anti-corruption actions on March 26 and June 12 in Russia was held today in Rostov-on-Don. The today’s event in the Builders’ Park was organized by activists of “The Open Russia” movement jointly with Alexei Navalny’s election office in Rostov-on-Don. The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on March 27 and on June 12, many cities of Russia, including in the south of the country, hosted actions of opposition leader Alexei Navalny’s supporters. = Nalchik residents oppose monument to Communist leader Kalmykov =
40 people in Nalchik went out to a rally against the installation in the city of a monument to Betal Kalmykov, the first secretary of the regional committee of the VKP(b) (All-Russian Bolshevik Communist Party). They demanded not to return the monument to the pedestal after restoration, and offered to exclude it from the register of cultural heritage objects. The rally was organized by the Association of Victims of Political Repressions, the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent reports.
